Germany provided EUR 2 million to UNHCR for support to conflict affected population in Ukraine

KYIV, Ukraine, 6 May 2016 (UNHCR) – German Federal Government contributed the amount of EUR 2 million to the UN Refugee Agency in order to support its project "Humanitarian assistance and protection for IDPs and other vulnerable persons affected by the crisis in Ukraine". The provided funds will be used to satisfy the needs of the most vulnerable conflict affected population on the both sides of the contact line. In 2015, Germany allocated EUR 4 million to this project run by the Agency and aimed at providing support to internally displaced people (IDP).
